International Students

Bellevue School is a signatory to the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students.
Available here: http://www.minedu.govt.nz/codeofpractice

Bellevue School supports an inclusive model of practice and therefore all international students will be mainstreamed and will engage in an integrated curriculum from a personalised learning approach. There will be an emphasis on Numeracy (Mathematics) and Literacy (English) and a balanced curriculum across the remaining five learning areas: Science, Social Sciences, The Arts, Technology, Health and PE.

International students will also have the opportunity to engage in extra-curriculum activities, which include the school choir, camps, sports teams, summer and winter inter-school sports,  IT programmes, enrichment programmes and Kapahaka.
All international students will attend an English as a Second Language (ESOL) programme which is overseen by the Teacher in Charge of International Students and run by the ESOL teacher aide.

The Bellevue School Information Booklet for International Students provides a wide range of information for interested families.
