International Students
Bellevue School is a contributing primary school catering for five to ten year old children. The school’s location is unique as it is placed within 500 metres of Otumoetai Intermediate and Otumoetai College. At the conclusion of their time at Bellevue School most students move on to Otumoetai Intermediate and Otumoetai College.
The school with a roll of approximately 350 students is well endowed with buildings: twenty classrooms; a Hall; a well resourced Library; and an Administration Block. A feature of Bellevue School is its personalised and inquiry learning. We have four Montessori classes that provide an opportunity for children from 6-12 years to be educated in the Montessori Method and philosophy.
Bellevue School is blessed with a beautiful setting; the attractive terraced site has been complemented over the years by a wide range of planting to provide the present park-like surrounds. The extensive grounds are a feature incorporating a large playing field, an Astro Turf, netball courts, two large adventure playgrounds and a swimming pool.
Bellevue School has a strong vision that is articulated in the schools motto, ‘Growing Learners for Life - poipoia te kakano, kia puawai’ (nurture the seed and it will blossom). Our school’s core values are, ‘Respect, Responsibility, Resourcefulness and Resilience’.
The staff at Bellevue School are highly skilled professionals who are supported by an effective Board of Trustees and Parent Teacher Association. Together, the staff, the Board of Trustees and the Parent Teacher Association are committed to providing excellent facilities and resources and a safe and nurturing environment in which students are able to reach their potential and achieve their personal best in all academic, sporting and cultural endeavours.
With its idyllic setting and excellence in education Bellevue School certainly has something special to offer its families.
